
The Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari,
has reappointed Prof Umar Garba Danbatta for a second term of five
years as the executive vice-chairman/chief executive officer (EVC/CEO)
of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
President Buhari has sent the names of the new appointees to the Senate for confirmation.
The Nigerian, Senate president, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, disclosed on
Tuesday, July 7, that the president in a letter asked the lawmakers to
confirm Danbatta’s appointment.
Buhari has also appointed three officials as members of the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
