The Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde
has stated that he is not impressed with the manner the federal
government’s conditional cash transfer initiative is being implemented.
The cash transfer initiative was implemented by the federal
governments to the poorest households in the country to cushion the
effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

But Governor Makinde in an interview with Fresh FM 105.9, said he is not impressed with how the poor are identified, Vanguard reports.

…But this is a programme that predates this administration and I have
never been impressed for one day by how they’ve identified the poorest
of the poor and the impact,” he said.
The governor noted that it is important to ensure that the government gets to the people that require those palliatives.
